Numerous Danie Theron Primary School athletes held the school’s name high over the past season.
Selectors chose Reatlehile Rathaba to represent her school and region in the u.10 girls 70 m hurdles event at the recent Gauteng athletics championships.
Mpendulo Zondo qualified to participate in the u.11 boys high jump at the same event.
Meanwhile, Zinhle Mofokeng, one of the school’s u.7 athletes, also excelled by winning a gold medal at the D2 championship.
Two other young stars, Blessing Zulu and Helena Ilunga, excelled at the Interschools Championships.
