The Millennium FC team were crowned the winners of a big league of the Merafong City Local Football Association (MCLFA) over the weekend. According to MCLFA’s chairperson Mbuyiselo Zuwani, the game to determine the winners of the Promotional Senior League, was played on August 10. The finalists battled for places at the Savuka Stadium.
“This was the last league game. Millennium FC played against Vultures FC,” says Zuwani. Millennium FC won the league, but both teams have been promoted to Hollywood Bets West Rand Men’s Regional League.
“We wish both teams good luck and we know that they won’t disappoint us as they will be joining a regional league that needs a lot of professionalism.
We plead to any local companies that might be interested in supporting them to come and assist as this league needs financial muscles due to its geographical location,” Zuwani added.
