Tenant found shot dead inside home in Blyvooruitzicht

The 56-year-old man had been shot in the chest, and police have launched a murder investigation.

A resident in Blyvooruitzicht made a gruesome discovery when she returned home at 03:40 on November 30.

A tenant of a house on 3rd Avenue arrived home and discovered that the kitchen door was not locked.

When she walked into the kitchen, she immediately saw one of her fellow tenants lying dead on the floor.

The fellow tenant, a 56-year-old Lesotho national, had been shot in the chest.

Neighbours told police that they heard gunshots at approximately 21:00 the previous night. No one, however, went to investigate.

The police in Carletonville are investigating a murder case.
