Night of Hymns inspires Merafong community at Carletonville Civic Centre

Jonkie Jay Production and Friends unite gospel artists, pastors and residents for an uplifting evening of praise, worship and prayer

A successful Night of Hymns took place at the Carletonville Civic Centre on Saturday, May 2. The event was organised by a local production company known as Jonkie Jay Production and Friends.

The event was a great success, and the promise to deliver an incredible night of praise and worship was fulfilled. It was indeed a night that inspired change through a spirited gathering. The Merafong community showed strong support by attending in large numbers, including pastors and gospel musicians.

The organisers expressed gratitude to the team working tirelessly behind the scenes to put together the inspiring show.

“We thank God for the lives that were changed through the powerful music, and we are hoping and trusting that there will be more events like this to empower our community and young people,” expressed Jonkie Jay.

There was also a prayer session dedicated to schools in Merafong, peace in the local community, and the youth. Performances were delivered by various gospel artists, including Musawenkosi Vilakazi, Jonkie Jay, Xolani Mkhwakhwi, Kgosi Malefo, Ngobile Felita, the Bethel Worship Team, Christian Assembly Women in Ministry, and Boitumelo.

“We trust in the Lord that this will be one of many gatherings to come that will help change our community,” he concluded.
