Residents are invited to pull on their trainers next week for a charity fun run in aid of breast cancer research and awareness.

The community event takes place on October3 at the Goldfields West Private Golf Club to mark the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, internationally recognised as Pink October.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels can choose to either run or walk a scenic 5km-course around the grounds in support of the global campaign, which promotes early detection and education.

The event kicks off at 08:30, and entry is free, with organisers welcoming individuals, families and supporters from across the local area to get involved for a great cause.
