Members of the police in Wedela reached out to learners at schools in the town this week.

On September 21, Wedela’s social crime prevention officer, Sergeant Zikhona Sifuba, Constable Mkhonto, and Sergeant Makinta, together with youth desk members, handed out school uniforms to pre-schools in the area.

“This initiative was aimed at providing dignity, encouraging early learning, and building trust between the police and the community. By ensuring that our youngest learners have proper uniforms, we are not only giving them clothes, but we are giving them confidence, pride, and hope for a better future,” says Sifuba.

She added that they thank all the pre-school teachers, parents, and community members who welcomed them with open arms.
