Masked gang storms into granny flat in Beerster Street before fleeing with stolen vehicle and household items

Thugs struck at a home in the northern part of Oberholzer this week.

This crime took place on May 12.

A mother and her child staying on Beerster Street were asleep in their granny flat.

They were woken up by a group of men storming into the flat at about 02:30.

The thugs, who spoke Sesotho and isiZulu, were masked and armed.

They tied the mother and child’s hands with wire and then started loading electrical appliances, which included a plasma television set, onto the mother’s car.

They then fled with the vehicle. The car was later found stripped in Khutsong South.
