Four killed, child seriously injured in N12 collision near Fochville

Mother among victims as Mercedes-Benz allegedly skips stop sign and collides with Renault Clio at busy intersection.

Several people were killed in an accident on Sunday afternoon.

On the afternoon of Sunday June 14 at around 17:00 a white Mercedes-Benz allegedly skipped the stop at the T-junction of the road leading from Fochville past Kokosi and the N12. The car smashed into an oncoming Renault Clio.

Four people inside were killed at the scene. One of the passengers, a 12-year-old girl, was taken to Carletonville Hospital with serious injuries. A passenger of the Mercedes-Benz was also injured.

The child’s mother was among those killed in the accident.

The group was coming from Potchefstroom when the Mercedes-Benz hit their car.
