Khutsong taxi owner shot dead outside home in suspected hit

Carletonville United Taxi Association member Jabulani Joseph Masale was gunned down by two unidentified assailants in Khutsong Extension 5 as police and the taxi violence unit investigate.

A 43-year-old taxi owner from the Carletonville United Taxi Association (CUTA) was murdered outside his home this week.

The incident happened on June 19 in Khutsong Ext 5. Jabulani Joseph Masale arrived at his house at around 22:00.

He had just pulled up and was waiting for his wife when a white Toyota Corolla stopped nearby.

Two unknown gunmen jumped out of the vehicle and opened fire.

Masale was hit in the upper body and died at the scene.

Police, together with the special taxi violence unit, are investigating a case of murder.
