SAVF Carletonville hosts charity golf day to support families in crisis
The charity event at Goldfields West Golf Club will raise funds for food parcels and other essential welfare services for vulnerable residents.
The SAVF in Carletonville is holding a golf day next weekend to raise money to continue some of its welfare work in the area.
According to the social work manager of the SAVF in Carletonville, Lin-Clair van Wyk, the event will be held on August 7 at the Goldfields West Golf Club.
“We are holding this to raise money for food parcels that we can hand over to members of the community experiencing a crisis,” explains Van Wyk, adding that the organisation currently does not have food parcels available.
This initiative is crucial for those facing food insecurity, ensuring that even the most isolated families receive essential resources.
The SAVF’s core mission is to support and uplift those in dire need, particularly children and abused women.
The SAVF’s commitment extends beyond immediate aid as they also address critical socio-economic challenges such as unemployment and poverty through various initiatives.
