Police seize cocaine, nyaope and Mandrax in Carletonville
Four men aged between 32 and 44 were arrested after police allegedly discovered a large quantity of drugs at a hairdresser in Amethyst Street.
Police this week confiscated a large amount of drugs at a business in the Carletonville CBD.
On August 4, members of the police in the West Rand District crime prevention unit received information that drugs were allegedly being sold at a business in Amethyst Street.
They went to the business, a hairdresser, at 18:10 and immediately identified themselves as SAPS members.
The police asked for a certain man at the business.
The man who they were looking for got up and said that he wanted to speak to them first.
The police then proceeded to search the premises and discovered 542 parcels of cocaine, 636 brown plastic bags with the street drug nyaope, and a total of 2017 Mandrax pills.
They arrested four men between the ages of 32 and 44 for dealing in drugs.
The case is being investigated by the Hawks.
