Kokosi Primary School again kept our area’s name high by winning two awards at the provincial Soul Buddies competition.

According to Dipuo Qupe, a dedicated teacher at Kokosi Primary School, the school’s Soul Buddies group walked off with two trophies at the Kool 2B South African National Flag Colours of National Pride Patriotism Awards for Social Cohesion.

The prize-giving was held at the CT Hotel in Pretoria on August 22.

Kokosi Primary won the awards for the best care of the vulnerable and the best appreciation by learners.
The competition is held to encourage schools to demonstrate patriotism, constitutional values, social cohesion and national identity through practical and creative activities.

The school’s Soul Buddies group has scooped up awards in the past, and Qupe herself also received the prestigious Best Soul Buddies Facilitator award for the Gauteng West region last year.
