Merafong residents invited to Khutsong Stadium for a Gauteng-wide Imbizo focusing on community safety and service delivery.

The Merafong community is invited to attend the Integrated Provincial Safety and Service Delivery Imbizo, which will take place on Thursday, September 3, at Khutsong Stadium from 14:00.

The event is being hosted by the Gauteng Provincial Government and Merafong City Local Municipality, in partnership with municipalities and districts across Gauteng.

These include the City of Ekurhuleni, City of Johannesburg, City of Tshwane, Sedibeng and West Rand District municipalities, Emfuleni, Lesedi, Midvaal, Mogale City and Rand West Local Municipality.

The Imbizo will feature several distinguished speakers, including Merafong City Executive Mayor Nozuko Best, Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Gauteng MEC Jacob Mamabolo.

The event will focus on safety and service delivery issues affecting communities across the participating municipalities.

According to the organisers, the Imbizo forms part of efforts to address challenges facing communities and promote cooperation between municipalities, with the broader goal of building and growing Gauteng together.
