A 44-year-old Carletonville resident was found dead near the railway tracks between Carletonville and Welverdiend.

The police in Carletonville are investigating a murder case after the body of a man was found just outside the town this week.

Pedestrians were walking in the area near the railway line between Carletonville and Welverdiend on August 28. They were walking in the area opposite Carletonville Mall at about 14:30 when they noticed the body of a man near the railway tracks.

They immediately called the police. The man was later identified as a 44-year-old resident. No one had been arrested by printing time.
