Gladiator and SAPS arrest suspected business burglars

The criminals tried to remove locks at the business.

Fast action by Gladiator Community Protection and the police ensured two men suspected of being involved in several burglaries at businesses were arrested.

According to André van Jaarsveld of Gladiator, control room personnel spotted two men attempting to remove a lock from the main gate at Edura at 07:30 on September 13.

One of their security vehicles immediately rushed to the scene. While the security personnel were still on their way, the same two men made their way to the old Edura building, where they also tried to remove locks.

The suspects ran away when they saw the security officers arriving.

Gladiator apprehended one of the thugs, while members of the dog unit, who were patrolling nearby, searched for the other.

This man later returned to the scene and removed a crowbar and locks that the criminals had hidden in a drain pipe.

Security officers and the police rushed to the scene and arrested him too.
