The profiles, of which this is the first, are based on information supplied by the respective parties and candidates. Unfortunately, not all parties responded by the publication deadline. The Herald will feature more profiles as they are submitted. Political parties with information about their mayoral candidates can email it to [email protected]

Moiketsi Ntilane
Party: Merafong Agents of Change

Background:

“Cllr Keke” is a community activist, local government representative and founding leader of Merafong Agents Of Change (MAoC).

Before entering local government, he spent more than 20 years in the ICT industry, building extensive experience in technology, business processes, corporate support and organisational systems. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Information and Communication Technology from the University of Johannesburg, and has undertaken further training in business analysis, IT service management, public-sector policy and ethics, records management and municipal asset management.

This professional background has shaped his approach to governance, problem-solving and accountability. Since becoming a councillor, Ntilane has established a strong focus on municipal oversight, financial accountability and confronting alleged corruption and maladministration.

He has been among the councillors who have taken municipal matters directly to law-enforcement and oversight institutions rather than limiting them to political debate.
