A Carletonville resident had a harrowing experience this week after a gunman caught him off guard outside his home.
The man walked out onto Lantana Street to lock his gate at 23:10 on the night of October 17 when he noticed an unknown man standing in his yard. The criminal immediately rushed toward the resident, pointed a firearm at him, and spoke in isiXhosa while forcing him back inside the house.
The thief then grabbed several cellphones and laptops before fleeing the scene on foot.
