Suspicious activity on satanic ritual koppie
Questionable antics on koppie where a teenager was killed by “friends”.
LINMEYER: The suspicious behaviour of an unknown man on a koppie known to residents to be the hub of dubious, illegal and in some cases deadly incidents, comes under the spotlight yet again.
Just weeks after the two accused youths in the satanic ritual murder case for the killing of 18-year-old Kirsty Theologo on the Linmeyer koppie in the south of Johannesburg were found guilty at the Palm Ridge Magistrates court; an atmosphere of unease still surrounds the infamous koppie.
A Linmeyer resident reported to the CHRONICLE on November 20 to have witnessed a dubious looking individual on top of the koppie as she was driving past, when she decided to investigate.
“Last night I drove past the Linmeyer hill and there was someone there with a long white cloak and a long white hat,” said the concerned resident.
“It seemed as though this person was praying, when I took out my phone for pictures the man ducked down and then ran away but what raised alarm was the fact that he seemed to be praying on his own.”
The resident acted swiftly and took a picture of the man with her phone as she wanted to warn other residents who may have witnessed other strange activity on the same koppie.
A few months previously, another resident had complained to the CHRONICLE about vagrants occupying the koppie and littering in the process. The Moffatview SAPS and JMPD had been notified of the incident, however, unfortunately, nothing has been done, even after an investigation was promised by JMPD.
A strange woman was also seen in broad daylight taking a bath on top of the koppie in full view of a reporter. Residents are urged to come forward with information they have regarding the suspicious activity on the hill.
On November 7, Lindon Wagner and Robin Harwood were found guilty of premeditated murder and attempted murder in Kirsty Theologo case and although Courtney Daniels and Harvey Isha were acquitted of murder charges, Daniels was found guilty of assault.
Theologo was assaulted and set alight in an alleged satanic ritual in October 2011. She died in hospital a week later due to her injuries. Her 14-year-old friend survived the attack.
