WATCH: Car catches fire on Letaba Road Oakdene

“No injuries were sustained during the incident.”

A vehicle caught fire on the side street of The Glen Shopping Centre next to Sportsman’s Warehouse at about 9am on January 11.

On the scene was centre security and management, Black Ops fire, SOS, DnD, SIU, Reaper, Fox, Guardian Angel, Fire Department and Netcare.

Mondeor CPF’s Michelle Pelser told The CHRONICLE it was discovered that the driver parked his vehicle and went into The Glen. He is thus safe.

“It has not yet known what caused the vehicle to catch fire but investigations are ongoing,” said Pelser.

“Thank you to all that responded and assisted.”
