Lights, camera, action at Abbotts College’s arts festival
Abbotts College Johannesburg South thanked all the participants of the art festival.
Abbotts College Johannesburg South hosted its annual Covid-19-friendly Art and Drama Festival this year.
The college feels strongly that art and drama should be celebrated, so it invited Grade Seven learners from different local schools in the area to join it in exploring and developing its creativity.
This year, excitement was high as Mulbarton Primary, Robertsham Primary, Glenview Primary, Glenanda Primary and Tambotie Primary participated in the race to win amazing prizes.
The Grade Seven learners had until October 15 to create an artwork or submit a video of their dramatic performance. Ten finalists from each category in each school were chosen by their art/drama teacher and the final works were judged by Abbotts College’s panel. The panel consisted of Janse van Rensburg, Antelme and Pretorius.
A final prize-giving ceremony was held at the campus where amazing prizes were handed over.
The winners this year were from Glenanda Primary, Robertsham Primary and Mulbarton Primary.
