Join Albertonians for a clean-up in Alberton Cemetery

The community is invited to a clean-up at Alberton Cemetery in Florentia aimed at fostering a sense of community and allowing families to visit the resting place of their deceased loved ones.

A local resident, Dylon Bell, has arranged with friends and family to assist with doing general lawn maintenance at the Alberton Cemetery on January 8.

“For those that are willing to come and spend some time mowing the grass and trimming the walkways, your help will be welcomed and appreciated,” said Joeleen Smit of Ward 37.

She said a lawnmower and weed eater should be perfect to get the job done.

The clean-up will begin at 8am on George Road, Florentia.

The project will include litter picking, grass cutting, bush trimming, and pavement clean-up.

They request volunteers and are also in need of equipment to assist with the project.

For more information kindly contact Dylon Bell 073 273 1591.
