Local trio reign supreme at boxing tournament

Boxers from the Alberton Boxing Club (ABC) participated in a development tournament in Walkerville and came out on top in their various divisions on April 22.

Boxers Kabukala Tshamala, Mekeila Brits and Emmanuel Ntamo won their fights in their weight divisions.

Several boxing clubs from across Gauteng were present at the tournament, and at least 31 bouts were on the programme, which saw the boxers battle it out in the ring.

On behalf of ABC, coach Gert de Klerk congratulated the trio and said they were proud of their future stars and encouraged them to keep up the stellar work.
