Young female guns exchange blows, claim victories

A Women’s Day boxing tournament held at the Premium Fitness Centre in Meyersdal saw boxers Karien Els and Kiara Kilfoil from Alberton Boxing Club claim well-deserved placements on August 9.

Karien and Kiara, who were part of eight bouts for the day, both secured well-deserved points and were deservedly awarded.

“Congratulations to Karien and Kiara who participated in the boxing tournament. We are so proud of Karien for winning her bout, Kiara was the runner-up and both boxers were very good. We are extremely proud of you girls and you showed us that women can do it too,” said coach Gert de Klerk.
