Sigma Stars Baseball Club wins Minor League Plate finals

Local baseball club participated in the Minor League Plate tournament and won the trophy after facing big and dedicated clubs.

After a challenging and exciting season, the Sigma Stars Baseball Club has won the Minor League plate final.

They faced fierce competition and displayed outstanding talent throughout the entire season.

When the senior season of the Southern Stars Baseball Club NPC teams began in March 2023, the journey officially began. The new Sigma Stars team played in the minor league, while the Southern Stars team competed in the senior reserve league.

The Sigma Stars team advanced to the finals despite the Southern Stars team being eliminated in the semi-finals.

According to the administrator of the club, chairperson Shaun Niemand, the Sigma Stars players put in a lot of effort to achieve a good season for themselves and their club despite having a very inexperienced team. They are incredibly proud of their perseverance and determination.

“The championship game against the Giants ladies was an exhilarating battle that kept everyone on their toes until the very end. The Giants proved to be formidable opponents, but Sigma stars demonstrated resilience and emerged victorious,” said Niemand.

The club congratulated every member of the winning team.

“Your hard work has paid off, and this well-deserved victory is a testament to your talent and commitment. We extend our gratitude to our coaches and management for their unwavering support and invaluable contribution towards making this team successful,” Niemand concluded.
