Mulbarton’s Shameema conquers Kilimanjaro

Mulbarton resident Shameema Moola has returned from her incredible journey, after successfully summiting Mount Kilimanjaro.

She began her climb on June 17. After a week of climbing, camping and surviving everything the dormant volcano threw at her, she reached the peak.

She set out to inspire herself and women to believe they can achieve the impossible.

“There is absolutely nothing that we as women cannot achieve,” said Shameema.

After a week of gruelling climbing between six to eight hours per day, Shameema is extremely proud of herself.

“The experience humbled me and made me appreciate how we live life. It was tougher than I anticipated, dealing with icy cold rain in a tent, but I did it,” continued Shameema.

Shameema’s journey has been one of determination and inspiration.
