Sunridge Play School celebrates Ramadan with mini iftar experience

The learners embraced the spirit of Ramadan and engaged in fasting and then breaking their fast.

Ramadan is a month observed by Muslims across the globe each year abstain from food and drink from dawn to dusk.

It is also a month when Muslims get closer to the Creator, a time shared with family, friends and the community.

To share in the spirit of Ramadan Sunridge Play School learners, aged three to six, enjoyed a mini mass iftar at school.

Iftar is the time of sunset when Muslims are breaking their fast. Learners pretended to fast from breakfast to break and packed a lovely iftar basket full of delicious food to share with friends at the time of iftar.

As you would see a community or crowd partake in their iftar together, learners listened to the call to prayer as they enjoyed the treats packed by their parents.

Sunridge Play School believes in allowing learners to experience concepts and events first-hand; this way, learners enjoy and retain new information.
