Prompt repairs to burst water pipe in Oakdene
A burst water pipe in Oakdene was swiftly repaired thanks to the efforts of Joburg Water and the Public Private Partnership (PPP).

On March 6, a burst water pipe under the pavement on Victoria Street in Oakdene, which caused disruption to the community.
However, thanks to the prompt action of Joburg Water and the Public Private Partnership (PPP), the issue was quickly resolved.
By March 7, the burst pipe had been repaired, and by March 10, the driveway had been reinstated.
The swift response was praised by Dennis Jane, ward 56 representative for Health & Social Development.
“The takeaway is it all happened very quickly. Thank you, Joburg Water and the PPP,” said Jane.
“The successful repair of the burst water pipe is a positive in a sea of negatives for Joburg Water. It also shows that work is being done by the entity to solve water issues.”
