Alberton Lions launch Nelson Mandela Month support initiative

Donation drive to take place in Brackenhurst.

The Alberton Lions launched a support initiative in July in honour of Nelson Mandela Month, calling on the community to provide essential support to vulnerable children, families, and the elderly.

The initiative is part of the Lions’ commitment to serving the community and making a positive impact.

As part of the initiative, they set up a donation drive at Bracken City Pick n Pay in Brackenhurst, where community members can drop off non-perishable food items, clothing, toiletries, and wool.

Donation drops can be made any day between now and July 18.

The donated items will be used to support various projects and provide essential services to those in need.

The Alberton Lions urge community members to get involved and make a difference in the lives of others.

“We are grateful for the support of Bracken Pick n Pay and the community in this initiative,” said Alberton Lions member Sandra Human.

“Together, we can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children, families, and the elderly,” she continued.
