Enotec rises: Turffontein rapper drops debut EP and launches clothing brand

Mpumalanga-born Enoch Sibiya (20), known as Enotec, blends local sounds with lyrical motivation, inspiring youth through music and fashion.

Emerging rapper Enoch Sibiya (20), better known as Enotec, is quickly making waves in South Africa’s music scene with his lyrical talent, entrepreneurial hustle, and passion to inspire.

Born and raised in Mpumalanga, Enotec moved to Katlehong in 2024 and now lives in Turffontein, where he writes and records his music.

His musical journey began at the age of 16 when he started writing lyrics for a friend. But it wasn’t long before he discovered his own voice and began rapping his own words.

“I wanted to be more involved in music as I developed a passion for it,” said Enotec.

Taking cues from local hip-hop giants like K.O and Nasty C, Enotec blends English and vernacular lyrics to create a sound that’s uniquely his own. His songs are driven by a message of motivation for young people, encouraging them to believe in their dreams.

Enotec is currently collaborating with Ayanda Films and is set to release his debut extended playlist, Vibes and Vice, on 27 July via Spotify and YouTube Music.

“With Vibes and Vice, I want to inspire the youth to follow their passions and pursue their dreams,” he said.

He has already made a name for himself on local stages, performing regularly at Vinyl Lifestyle in Johannesburg and at major events like Human Rights Day celebrations at Constitution Hill and the Apartheid Museum.

But music isn’t his only venture. Enotec has launched his own urban clothing label, Mirror Judgement Clothing, selling caps and beanies on a cash-on-delivery basis to fund his music career.

“I sell these items of clothing to make money for music while also developing my brand,” he explained.

Driven, passionate and original, Enotec represents the new wave of South African hip-hop – one beat, one bar, and one bold move at a time.
