A Christmas wonderland created for young and old

The revamped Christmas Village wowed visitors with snowy displays, new attractions, and unforgettable family moments at the DStv preview evening.

Young and old alike shared magical moments at Emperors Palace’s Christmas Village.

Families enjoyed wandering through the festive attractions during the Village’s headline sponsor, DStv’s preview evening on December 2.

This year’s edition of the Christmas Village promises to be one of the most memorable yet, featuring upgraded displays, enhanced experiences, and a magical atmosphere perfect for families, friends, and holidaymakers.

The new-look Christmas Village offers a Snowy White Christmas experience that includes old favourites like the Tunnel of Lights, as well as new attractions such as the Coca-Cola Ski Deck on level 4 of the parkade.

To create the expansive Village, which spans two rugby fields, more than 1 000 litres of paint, 2km of artificial snow, 140 000 nails, over 10km of timber, and 5.5 million lightbulbs were used.

Visitors can stroll through themed areas, including the North Pole, the Winter Village, the Old World Neighbourhood and the ever-popular Santa’s Warehouse.

The Village also features artisanal stalls, festive treats, refreshment stations, and eye-catching photo spots designed for families, content creators, and holiday enthusiasts.

Ticket prices start at R45, and time slots can be booked daily between 14:00 and 22:30 until December 30 through Webtickets.
