A cable fault has caused a power outage affecting customers in Mulbarton, Glenvista, Oakdene, and surrounding areas on January 6.

The team at Mulbarton Substation is currently on site (January 7), conducting final tests before initiating the restoration process.

The entire area will be switched off while the team is operating, and full supply will then be restored.

For isolated individual calls and any other electricity-related queries, customers are advised to log calls on citypower.mobi or through the call centre on 011 490 7484 / 0800 202 925.

Michael Crichton, ward councillor for Ward 56, confirmed the Reuven SDC outage update, saying, “The team is currently on site conducting the restoration process.”
