JOY Dogs spread smiles in KwaZulu-Natal
Owner, Sue Green shares highlights from the JOY Dogs’ successful and joy-filled visit to KwaZulu-Natal.
The JOY Dogs recently visited KwaZulu-Natal and had a happy and busy trip.
It was a special journey, especially for YoYo, as it was her first time staying away from home.
Owner Sue Green shared some funny moments from the trip.
“YoYo peed on the carpet in our accommodation and chewed the doorstops, so I had to buy new ones, but overall, it was one of our best trips,” she said.
During the visit, the JOY Dogs did promotional events for Dulux at Makro Amanzimtoti and Makro Pietermaritzburg. They also appeared at Mica Build in Ballito.
The events were a success, and the team has already been invited back.
“The dogs were amazing and very good with all the attention. They worked really hard,” said Sue.
After work, the dogs enjoyed some fun. They visited three beaches, where they ran freely and splashed in the sea. Green said the dogs loved every minute.
While in Ballito, Green also did a radio interview with Radio Life and Style. During the interview, Jade the dog barked on air.

“Jade‘s barking over the air delighted everyone,” Sue added.
The long drive to and from KwaZulu-Natal went smoothly. The trip took about six and a half hours each way. “They love travelling. I stopped three times each way so they could run around and have a pee.”
When they were not working, the JOY Dogs joined Sue at coffee shops to meet friends. The dogs behaved very well and happily posed for photos with customers.
“We get requests for photos and information about the dogs, and I don’t mind being interrupted,” she highlighted.
The JOY Dogs will continue their travels soon. They will be in Bloemfontein on February 13, Aliwal North on Valentine’s Day, and George from February 15 to 19.
According to Sue, the dogs live up to their name. “They are well-travelled dogs and spread joy wherever they go,” she said.
Photos and videos from the trip can be seen on the JOY Dogs’ social media pages.
