WATCH: Soup kitchen boosts energy and focus for students in Eikenhof

Sharing Kindness Foundation calls for food donations to sustain Saturday meals supporting Grade 11 and matric students at Elethu Themba Public School.

The Sharing Kindness Foundation (SFK) has been hosting a soup kitchen for Elethu Themba Public School in Eikenhof every Saturday, serving Grade 11 and matric students during their extra classes.

The nutritious meals and donations give learners more energy and improved concentration for their studies, and students are consistently grateful for the support.

“Seeing our soup kitchen give these bright young minds the fuel they need to learn and grow is the biggest reward. Every bowl of soup represents a step toward a brighter future for Elethu Themba’s Grade 11 and matric learners,” says Nick Janse van Rensberg, founder of the SFK.

The regular Saturday meals have become a vital part of the school’s extra-class programme, helping students perform better academically and fostering a spirit of community kindness in Eikenhof.

The foundations will continue this initiative, but they need help with food donations.
