Fundraising run at Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre

Johannesburg Harriers Athletics Club to host Run for Hope charity event for childhood cancer foundation.

The Johannesburg Harriers Athletics Club (JHAC) will host a charity run titled Run for Hope, Raise for CHOC on April 18 from 06:00.

The event will take place at the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Kibler Park and is organised in partnership with JHAC representatives Ndivhuwo Tshipala and Chanelle Trenton.

Participants are invited to join the runners in a fundraising effort for the Childhood Cancer Foundation (CHOC), with every step aimed at raising awareness and funds for children battling cancer.

The entry contribution is set at R50, and all proceeds will be directed to the foundation.

“We will run for something bigger than ourselves,” said Tshipala. “The event’s theme colour is yellow, symbolising support and solidarity with the cause.”

Organisers encourage community involvement, noting that ‘Blessed is the hand that gives’, urging supporters to run with Tshipala and Trenton to make a meaningful impact.

To register for the race, athletes can visit joburgharriers.co.za or call 072 679 0874.
