He is embarking on a new chapter in his professional career. In his farewell note, he mentioned he had the privilege of serving as spokesperson as he engaged with a wide range of stakeholders across the basic education sector.
“From the colleagues and district leadership to school principals, educators, the media, and parents, each interaction has deepened my understanding of public service and reinforced the value of transparent, responsive communication,” he said.
To his colleagues in the department: “Thank you for your support, collaboration, and professionalism. The guidance of leadership, district directors, and line function managers has been invaluable in navigating both challenges and successes.”
To school principals and educators: “Your dedication to delivering quality education, often under difficult conditions, has been truly inspiring. It has been an honour to work alongside you in telling the story of our schooling system.”
To members of the media: “I appreciate your engagement, scrutiny, and partnership in ensuring the public remains informed and the department accountable.”
To parents and communities: “Thank you for your trust and reliance on clear, timely information. This has always underscored the importance of my role.”
