LIEFDE EN VREDE – However, instead of wasting money and scaring animals with a 15 minute firework display – rather channel the funds into something worthwhile – 15 fireworks displays in past years – at what cost, time to move with the times, these displays are passe, unnecessary, invasive to pets and particularly the wildlife in the numerous nature reserves in our area.
Whilst I’m on the topic, all those that celebrate the festival of Diwali – please bear in mind that it is a beautiful and peaceful festival of light and not of noise. Those loud bomb like bangs are absolutely unnecessary and extremely irritating.
