On behalf of St Mary’s Children’s Home, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you most sincerely for visiting our home recently.
We cannot sufficiently express in words just how grateful we are to you and the Johannesburg Mini Council for providing a memorable day for all the children and we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for the generous gifts of clothing, shoes from Sole2Sole and goody bags. The lunch of delicious pies was a special treat that was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all!
Your visit provided an opportunity for our children to really interact and enjoy time with other people, something that doesn’t happen very often when guests visit our home. People usually visit but don’t get too involved with the children, and, sadly, this is what they need most. So, I’d like to commend everyone for their participation and for making an effort to interact with the children and making them feel special and loved.
It is only with the support of friends like you that our children can experience joys that many other children take for granted.
We are looking forward to overcoming our financial difficulties and remain positive and hopeful as we strive to offer the best care and meaningful services to our children, not forgetting all the special people who help to make it happen.
Thank you for your support and care!
Sonja Harmse (director of St Mary’s), staff and children
