Regents Park boxer claims WBA Pan African Bantamweight belt

Eight-time SA amateur champion Charlton Malajika followed in his brother's footsteps, IBO World Junior Bantamweight champion Ricardo “Magic Man” Malajika.

On December 6, the Regents Park boxer beat Sabelo Cebkhulu of KZN by a unanimous points decision to claim the WBA Pan African Bantamweight belt.

It was a special victory for the man who fights out of the Brian Mitchell Boxing Academy gym in Edenvale as he became a father a few days earlier.
