Smash has landed in Mexico and she is ready to fight Gabriela Sanchez for the silver title.
The Johannesburg south female boxer Smash has a big fight on April 4 for the World Boxing Council’s silver title against Gabriela Sanchez Bonita from Mexico at the Zaragoza Olympic Stadium, Mexico.
The main fight is scheduled for 19:00 Mexico time. Since South Africa is 8 hours ahead, she will likely step into the ring around 3:00 SA time.
Smash and her team landed in Mexico on April 2, met with fans, and had a great session.

Smash promises South Africans that she will bring back the silver title. She is also excited that Discover Sport will be broadcasting the fight live. Her boxing coach, Khangelani Jack, says that it has been a long training camp for this fight.
“We’ve known since last year that we were supposed to fight Sanchez and we didn’t stop training. The fact that the fight has been cancelled before we knew that at any time we would have to fight Sanchez.”
On the Discover Sport channel, Colleen McAusland, Smash’s boxing manager, spoke about the boxer’s confidence in the fight.

“This is such a monumental moment for not only South Africa but the whole African continent. It’s the first time that a female is fighting for this title and outside of the continent for it and we are confident that she will bring it back.
“Considering where she comes from, living a disadvantaged life in a shack to this is because she worked so hard for it,” she expressed.
Smash remains fit to fight Sanchez tomorrow at the Zaragoza Olympic Stadium.
