Karateka achieves exceptional pass rates
A distinguished panel leads successful grading for nearly 100 JKA South students.
Alberton and Bassonia JKA Club gradings were held recently, and nearly 100 students took part, with a 100% pass rate.
“We were privileged and proud to host a grading panel made up of the club’s seniors and instructors, all of remarkable calibre, led by senior instructor and SAJKA president, sensei Bruce Smith (7th Dan),” said Karyn Smith.
The panel also included three 6th Dans (Earl Opperman, Gert Aucamp and Karyn Smith), one 4th Dan, three 3rd Dans, and several 2nd and 1st Dans – an extraordinary gathering of experience and expertise.
According to Karyn, it’s rare for a club to be able to assemble such a distinguished panel. “We are truly grateful to have access to such depth of knowledge and high-level instruction within our karate community.”
