The Southern Stars Baseball Club officially launched their junior season in style with a buzzing Junior Open Day that brought young players and families flocking to the club’s home ground.

The event was a resounding success, drawing an impressive mix of returning players from last season and a host of fresh faces eager to try their hand at the sport.

With the sun shining and bats cracking, the club’s fields were alive with energy, laughter, and a clear sense of community spirit.

Children aged four to 18 took part in a variety of baseball drills, games, and team-building activities under the guidance of the club’s dedicated coaches.

Whether it was seasoned players shaking off the off-season rust or newcomers learning how to hold a bat for the first time, everyone was made to feel welcome.

Club organiser Shaun Niemand said the day captured exactly what the Southern Stars are all about.

“We were thrilled with the turnout. It’s always great to see familiar faces, but it’s just as exciting to welcome new families into the club. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the kids had an absolute blast,” he said.
