Warries worthy competitors in championships
The athletes from Hoërskool Warmbad who qualified to participate in the National High Schools and LSEN Athletic Championships that were held from April 4th to 6th at the DAL Josaphat Stadium in Paarl showcased their talents.
The competition was fierce but Pule Sebolao boys u.19 excelled and made the school proud by securing a commendable 4th place in the 400 m hurdles during the final round. Additionally, he claimed a respectable 5th position in the 110 m hurdles in the elimination round.
Lethabo Simango, also competing in the boys’ u.19 category, demonstrated remarkable performance by finishing 9th in the 1500 m event and securing the 7th position in the 800 m race.
Mustafa Mokwena was on form and secured a respectable 7th place in the elimination round.
The learners said that they had a great time at the championships and thanked all the stakeholders who made it possible.
