The first of the top sixteen contestants had their first live performances at the State Theatre in Pretoria yesterday.

Many fans took to social media to express their disappointment that Madlingozi, already well known in the entertainment industry, was on the show.

Judge Randall Abrahams warned the confident singer to not get caught up on looking cool.

But, said judge Somizi Mhlongo: “This was your concert and you owned it.”
