DOUGLASDALE – Read to find out who is nominated for the Top Cop Award for March.

Going beyond the call of duty to serve the community is of utmost importance to this public servant and admin clerk, Dikeledi Kgampe, who bears testimony to this.

Kgampe, who is nominated in the Best Detective category for the month of March, is an admin clerk in the detective service at the Douglasdale Police Station, and her main function is data integrity.

The station commander, Brigadier Lettie Hugo stated that Kgampe is always punctual for duty and always shows respect to her superiors. “Kgampe is always dressed according to the dress code. She does allocations of dockets on the CAS system to the investigating officers on a daily basis,” Hugo said.

She added that Kgampe is also responsible for dispatching fingerprints on the CAS system. “She is also responsible for sending, receiving and postponing dockets from court daily on the CAS system and endorses them in the court book,” Hugo explained.

She added that Kgampe receives dockets on a daily basis which are not placed on the court roll by the court and also those that are withdrawn. Kgampe then endorses them in the relevant register before she hands them to the relevant group officer.

“During the month of November last year, when Kgampe was almost alone in the office, I requested her to come work on weekends, and she went the extra mile without complaint. It is very motivating and encouraging to work with a committed member like her,” Hugo expressed.
