Pinnacle College Kyalami learner to represent SA in Croatia

The athlete said his love and passion for karate as a sport help him achieve great results every time he competes.

A 14-year-old Grade 9 learner at Pinnacle College Kyalami, Tivaar Kasipersadh will travel to Croatia to represent South Africa in the International Karate Championships.

Tivaar is currently ranked number three nationally in his division, and has also been selected to represent the country at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in September as a Protea.

“I’ve been doing karate since the age of four. It’s my passion and I hope to continue attaining further black belt grading to increase my dan. I hope that the International Karate Championships competition will help me become a better athlete and raise the South African flag high in Croatia.”
