Hijackings and car theft increasing, warns Primrose CPF

The Primrose CPF is warning of an increase in hijackings and car theft.

The Primrose CPF is warning the community that hijackings are occurring and vehicles are being stolen on a regular basis in the area.

The committee has warned that those community members who are parking their vehicles in the road instead of in their driveways behind closed gates are encouraging criminals to visit the area.

Residents are urged to park their vehicles in a safe place where criminals cannot easily access them.

Valuables must not be left in vehicles.

Be alert and aware of your surroundings, warns CPF

The CPF further urged residents to be alert at all times when driving home or leaving their properties.

Do not be distracted by your cellphone or park in your driveway while waiting for your electric gate to open.

Rather park in the street and be vigilant.

Once your gate has opened you can then drive into your property, still being alert until your gate has closed behind you, the CPF advised.

Residents are urged to take the increase in hijackings and car theft in the area seriously.
