Primrose security officer uses music to promote unity and social change

Circinus Security Services officer Wynand Kaltwasser is gaining attention for original songs that address unity, healing and gender-based violence in South Africa.

A local security officer from Circinus Security Services in Primrose is using music to spread messages of hope, unity and social change.

Wynand Kaltwasser, a security officer, has released two original songs that are gaining attention among South African listeners.

The songs, Suid Afrika Ons Land and Insecure Men, which are also available in Afrikaans, carry strong messages about national unity, healing and the fight against gender-based violence.

During a recent interview, Kaltwasser said his music is not about chasing fame, but about making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

“I don’t care about fame,” he said. “If just one song can reach one heart and make a difference, then I have already succeeded.”

His song Suid-Afrika Ons Land encourages South Africans from all backgrounds to stand together, rebuild hope, and work towards a better future for the country.

The track calls for unity at a time when many communities continue to face social and economic challenges.

His other song, Insecure Men, speaks directly to the painful reality of gender-based violence, a crisis that continues to affect many families across South Africa.

The song has resonated strongly with women who have experienced abuse, with some listeners describing it as emotional, healing and empowering.

Kaltwasser said his music has a purpose beyond entertainment.

He said any royalties earned from his songs will mainly go towards supporting children’s homes and vulnerable children.

“Making even one contribution to a child in need can change a life,” he said, adding that is where his heart is.

A word of appreciation was also extended to Circinus Security Services and TRANS-50 Witfield Park Retirement Centre for supporting an employee whose influence now reaches beyond the workplace.

Earlier this year, GCN reported that Kaltwasser uses artificial intelligence to help him create his music, earning him the title of an AI artist.

At the time, he explained that music has the power to bring hope, comfort and understanding to others.

“As an AI artist, creativity and technology work hand in hand. While artificial intelligence plays a role in shaping the final sound, the heart of the music remains human,” he said.
