Members of the Primrose police nabbed three men in possession of a hijacked vehicle, recently.
The men, aged 23, 24 and 24, were arrested in Pretoria Road, Primrose.
While they were busy patrolling in the Wychwood area (Sector Three), the officers noticed a suspicious-looking vehicle with four male occupants.
They signalled to the driver to stop, but he sped off and the police gave chase, calling for back-up as they went.
The car raced down Tilia, Ixia, Wychwood and Main Reef roads and the men were finally cornered by the police in Pretoria Road, where they all jumped out of the car and ran in different directions.
The officers gave chase and caught three of them.
Upon checking the vehicle it was discovered that it had been hijacked earlier in September, in Dobsonville, and reported to the Dobsonville police.
The suspects are due to appear in the Germiston Magistrates Court soon, on a charge of possession of a hijacked vehicle.
The Primrose police appeal to the public for information which could lead to the arrest of the fourth suspect.
