Christmas food drive gets underway

Creating a brighter and merrier Christmas.

The Gauteng Provincial Association for Persons with Disabilities is again hosting the annual Christmas food drive for underprivileged children who have disabilities.

GPAPD will be collecting non-perishable foods, toiletries, children’s clothes, toys and sweets, and biscuits.

The association would like to collect as many of the items needed as possible, in order to make this a brighter and merrier festive season for those who have never experienced the joy of a pleasant Christmas.

The GPAPD will also accept gift vouchers from major supermarket groups and will use these to buy the food products that are needed.

Donations community members would like to make to this cause will be collected where necessary.

Companies who wish to participate in this initiative can also benefit through the point system on the BEE system.

Any community members interested in helping this worthy cause, or who would like to find out more about the project, can contact Shane at shane.gpapd@iburst.co.za or call on 082 656 6616.
