Primrose police recently arrested two suspects, aged 27 and 29, on charges of theft.
The arrests were made after the police received a report from a man living in Walkers Avenue.
The man alleged that he was outside his house, starting his car, when he heard his front door opening.
When he went into the house and turned on the lights he saw an unknown man leaving the house, carrying his DVD player.
The complainant and a friend chased after the man and were able to corner him and contact the Primrose SAPS.
“While the men waited for the officers to arrive on the scene, a taxi arrived with the suspect’s accomplice” said Const Styles Maome, communication officer for the Primrose police.
Both men were arrested when SAPS officers arrived on the scene, and were detained at the Primrose Police Station, pending their appearance in the Germiston Magistrates Court.
